Architecture influenced the form of Inner Stretch #1. I have always found buildings fascinating and especially enjoy modern office buildings. On a trip through downtown Phoenix, I observed a building wider than deep with graceful contours. These concepts can be found in this vessel. The basis for the relief, ajour and texture of the vessel evolved from doodle drawings and explorations within. You can almost feel the vessel stretching.
